The Secretariat of the Inter-American Committee on Ports (S/CIP) of the Organization of American States (OAS) and following up on the Montevideo Plan of Action, specifically the activities of the Technical Advisory Group (TAG) on Corporate Social Responsibility, Gender Equality and Empowerment of Women, chaired by the National Port Authority of Peru (APN), kindly request your collaboration to collect information for the creation of a Database of Female Port Professionals in the Maritime and Port Sectors of the Americas.

The main objective of this database is to establish a baseline on the participation of women
in maritime and port management. This will provide the CIP with an updated overview of
the participation of women in the sector that will help create a community of female professionals and advance in the development of an inclusive port sector.

In this regard,  Port Athorithies and/or Maritime Companies can fill out with general data on the participation of women in their institution and/or entity, through the Excel Sheet attached to this letter. Grateful if you could send the duly filled Excel sheet, as well as any questions or comments to the CIP Secretariat (cip@oas.org ) at your earliest convenience.
